Wedding invitations are divided into a number of sections and each of these sections deserve our attention to make sure everything works out great. Here is a list and brief detail of every card you need to have in the envelope before you send your invites.
The Invitation
Your wedding invitation should include every necessary detail about your wedding. Always double check that all the important details like date, time and location are present as well as correct.Reception Card
Formally, an invitation will include the reception information on a seperate card. If ther is room on the invitation, it can be printed at the bottom as well. Mention the time and location if seperate for the reception.Response Card
Guests fill and mail back a response card about whether or not they can attend your wedding. Inclue an addressed and stamped envelope so that the guests can easily send the responses. Include a due date to ensure RSVP in time.Accommodation Card
This is only for the out-of-town guests. It's great if you are arranging the accomodations for them, if not, let them know about the best options available.Directions Card
This card includes the directions to the wedding venue. Include clear worded directions and if possible a map as well.Inner Envelope
Inner envelope is where the names of the guests go. It is placed inside the outer envelope. Clearly mention the names of the people invited to your wedding.Outer Envelope
This is the main envelope. It includes the names of the guests along with mailing address. You need not type all the addresses by yourself as many stationery companies will do it for you.Remember, you can always cut on your wedding guest list if your list is becoming heavy and growing out of your wedding budget.
